Home / Ayira’s Neuro-Soul Café
A café where neurodivergent people belong — and work.
Founded by Joyful Journeys’ Diana Ayoo, Ayira’s employs people with neurodivergent conditions and helps customers learn about neurodiversity.
The story
Named for a daughter. Built for a community.
Diana opened Ayira’s Neuro-Soul Café as a welcoming place for people with neurological differences, after struggling to find a safe space for her own daughter — the café carries her name.
Many of the team have conditions such as autism or dyslexia. Tablets at each table let guests place orders without pressure on staff, and books on display help customers understand different conditions. The café also hopes to host market days where neurodivergent people can showcase their art and talent.
Employment with purpose
Jobs for adults with neurodivergent conditions, in an environment that already knows what they can do.
Learning on the menu
Guests are invited to understand and accept different conditions — reducing stigma, one visit at a time.
